What pushes a home to weekly

Pets that shed are the biggest single factor. Hair reaches a visible level again within days, not weeks, and it spreads well beyond the rooms the animal is usually in.

After that: how many people are home during the day, whether there are young children, whether anyone cooks properly most nights, and whether the home has light floors or dark ones. A busy household generates mess faster than a quiet one regardless of its size.

What every two weeks handles well

A home where the adults are out most of the day, where cooking is moderate, and where the household already does its own tidying between visits. The clean does not have to fight a backlog, so the time goes to doing the work properly rather than catching up.

This is why it is the most common choice. It is frequent enough that no visit is ever a big job, and infrequent enough to be worth it.

When monthly is enough

Smaller homes, one or two tidy occupants, no pets. Monthly stops a home from drifting, but it will not keep up with one that is genuinely in use, and asking it to usually ends with disappointment on both sides.
